In Kim Ki Duk's film Spring part, I felt strongly about what I was like when I was young. I guess I was like the kid in the film, too. I was always making ants suffer like the kid made fish, frog, and snake suffer. However, I did not know until now that I have made a big mistake back then. As I was watching the movie, I was looking at the kid and the teacher and felt 'Ah! that boy is like me and he is making a big mistake.' If I could go back to past, I would not have repeated the same mistake and would make other friends stop.
About teacher's teaching method, I was really touched. The teacher did not say a thing and he just tied the kid up and made the kid feel the same way. Also, the kid understood and felt that he had made a big mistake. I believe that showing by action is much better than talking to a child since children do not understand easily when they are talked to make them see that they are wrong. On the contrary, when they are shown by action that they did something wrong, children regret and do not make same mistakes.
I hope I can be like the teacher in the film when I raise my children in the future. Without scolding, I believe that showing by action is the best way to make children feel they have made mistakes.
